Join AGRED - Membership Categories

Category: Full membership


Fee: R425.00 p.a.
Joining fee: Nil

The membership fee includes free membership for the spouse and dependent children up to the age of 25 years. However, should the spouse or dependent child wish to take out Dedicated Hunter status, they will need to become take out individual full membership in accordance with firearms legislation. Membership fee includes the membership fee for CHASA.

Newsletter (four copies electronic and hard copy, news, research, opinion, updates on policy and legislation, membership benefits)
Electronic gamebird manual (under construction, free access to 200 pages of information, to be extended on an ongoing basis)
Discount on the book AGRED's Gamebirds of South Africa and the limited edition of 48 prints of AGRED's Gamebirds of South Africa
Discount on consultancy fees for gamebird management consultations
Access to AGRED events
Provincial hunting licenses where possible
Access to Dedicated Hunter status
Access to conservancy shoots
Access to clay pigeon shoots


Category: Gamebird management/landowner membership


Annual Fee: R320 p.a.
Joining fee: Nil

This membership category is for those who do not want to make use of shooting services and products, but who wish to continue supporting AGRED's research and education programmes or who wish to have access to information on gamebirds. Membership fee does not include CHASA membership fee.

Category: CHASA affiliate member


Price: R320 p.a.

This membership category is for anyone who is already a member of another CHASA affiliate organisation. On confirmation of your current membership status of such an organisation, you are eligible to a discounted rate compared to full membership. Please note that your primary organisation will manage your Dedicated Hunter status (if desired). Also, CHASA affiliate members cannot claim free membership of AGRED for spouses and dependent children. Apart from the exceptions above, the benefits are otherwise as for the full membership status.

Fee does not include CHASA membership fee.



Three Membership categories are available

AGRED does not charge a joining fee.

If you have already paid for 2007-2008 or beyond, then you will not be charged extra for membership for that period.

In future, if you join part of the way through a year, you will be given a pro rata discount on your renewal of your membership in the following year.
